The Naming of the Dead wins Worldbooks Crime Thriller of the Year Award 2007
Ian Rankin has won a British Book Award (‘Nibbie’) with The Naming of the Dead, which was the Worldbooks Crime Thriller of the Year. This is Ian’s second consecutive win, as Fleshmarket Close carried off the Award two years ago.

Fleshmarket Close wins World Books Thriller of the Year Award
Hot on the heels of being selected as one of the first BBC television’s Page Turners, Fleshmarket Close has just won the World Books Thriller of the Year Award at this year’s prestigious British Book Awards. Ian has been also been awarded the CWA Cartier Diamond Dagger Award 2005 for lifetime achievement, one of the world’s foremost crime awards. Congratulations Ian! Ian has already won a CWA Dagger for Black and Blue.
